Hi Jerry, i'm checking if this bug is still valid, reading through comments you stated at comment #23 that kernel updates from that time solved the issue. However it seems that this was related to compiz and intel driver as the last few comments and per bug #259385
So i wonder, the issue that you described in this report about freezing laptop are solved? or are the same you're testing at the bug previously refered?
