I have been the maintainer at Debian until now, so perhaps I can
comment.

I've orphaned the package because recent X servers have disrupted
something that prevents the keyboard's LEDs and actual lock status
from being in sync and, unfortunately, I lack to the skills to debug
what causes this.  Another reason for orphaning it is that upstream is
no longer active. He had previously offered me to take over as
upstream but, again, I don't code, so I declined.
