Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.24-24-generic
L3 Cache isn't detected at all, or at least, there's no sign of it anywhere I looked. /proc/cpuinfo, /sys/cpu, lshw, dmesg - nothing. L1 and L2 and other CPU info data are ok, but no L3 at all. Powernow_k8 doesn't work either, probably the cpu isn't recognized properly? cat /proc/cpuinfo: processor : 0 vendor_id : AuthenticAMD cpu family : 16 model : 2 model name : AMD Athlon(tm) 7750 Dual-Core Processor stepping : 3 cpu MHz : 2700.000 cache size : 512 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 2 core id : 0 cpu cores : 2 fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 5 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 ht syscall nx mmxext fxsr_opt pdpe1gb rdtscp lm 3dnowext 3dnow constant_tsc rep_good pni cx16 popcnt lahf_lm cmp_legacy svm extapic cr8_legacy abm sse4a misalignsse 3dnowprefetch osvw ibs bogomips : 5405.25 TLB size : 1024 4K pages clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 48 bits physical, 48 bits virtual power management: ts ttp tm stc 100mhzsteps hwpstate processor : 1 vendor_id : AuthenticAMD cpu family : 16 model : 2 model name : AMD Athlon(tm) 7750 Dual-Core Processor stepping : 3 cpu MHz : 2700.000 cache size : 512 KB physical id : 0 siblings : 2 core id : 1 cpu cores : 2 fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 5 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 ht syscall nx mmxext fxsr_opt pdpe1gb rdtscp lm 3dnowext 3dnow constant_tsc rep_good pni cx16 popcnt lahf_lm cmp_legacy svm extapic cr8_legacy abm sse4a misalignsse 3dnowprefetch osvw ibs bogomips : 5400.03 TLB size : 1024 4K pages clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 48 bits physical, 48 bits virtual power management: ts ttp tm stc 100mhzsteps hwpstate Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-M720-US3, nForce 720D ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- AMD Athlon X2 7750 - L3 Cache isn't detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/385372 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
