Hi Pedro, I somehow lost your last email, so I'm glad you sent this. I was experiencing a bunch of crashes with 64 bit Ubuntu 9.04 and I believe they are all related to the kernel bug problem being worked on. I think it was just coincidence it crash while I was in GIMP, though it did crash three times in GIMP so maybe one of GIMP libraries is particularly susceptible to the kernel bug. I ended up erasing that 9.04 installation and now am using only 8.04 and 8.10. I've also experienced a few crashes in 8.10 and one recent crash in 8.04 but have no idea what caused them.
