I can confirm this in 9.10 Alpha 1, but not in 9.04. My laptop has an Intel 915GM/910GML express graphic controller. Restarting solves the problem for a time, but it eventually becomes garbled again. Sometimes Thunderbird and Firefox (as it is now) is affected as well.
It seems to occur after running a Wine program for an extended period.
