Dave, I think that gEdit is "Text Editor" or, for example, gcalctool is "Calculator" because they are default apps even if it's not properly according to http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/desktop-application-menu.html.en If other virus scanner maintainers would only label their package as "Virus Scanner" (as you do in clamtk) the users might have more virus scanners apps with the same label. I think we can establish a convention: - the default ubuntu app can only be labeled with a text identifying the purpose of the app - the non default ubuntu app should follow http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/desktop-application-menu.html.en
Obviously this is my opinion. -- clamtk menu description is not according to GNOME HIG https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/386122 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
