Hi! I have the same problem, although I am not technical enough to know where to dig to figure it out. I have found though that some programs are more likely to cause this issue: any flash animation in firefox using nonfree (though not in Opera), and as you say, the animated screensavers (in my case glslideshow).
A system left alone will sometimes restart the session - I come back and it's sitting at the login box of GDM! Resume from suspend is totally unreliable and fails 1 in 4 times, roughly. Whatever the gremlin is is also able to kill the wireless. I think this is either a javascript issue or an adobe flash issue. I read in another bug listing that there might be a relationship with the bluetooth service (particularly with suspend/resume problems). Crashes for me are every few hours of use. Am seriously contemplating changing distro's because this is becoming unworkable, but I am so hoping it gets fixed because I am so used to Ubuntu now. -- Random freezes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/375109 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
