Your log contains several times the error message «ValueError:
/usr/bin/python does not match the python default version. It must be
reset to point to python2.6».

What does running «/usr/bin/python» on your system output, and have you
done any changes to Python (touched it's files yourself, installed some
Python package which isn't from Ubuntu, etc.)?
