I actually don't understand this at all. Do you have any insight into
why casper-snapshot is ignoring whiteout files in the first place?
Surely the effect of doing so is to ignore all deletions.
In other words, why should the pattern be adjusted rather than deleted?
I'm not necessarily saying it *should* be deleted, since I imagine it
was added for a reason and maybe I'm just missing it - but I always
prefer to understand the reasons why code was as it was before changing
it, as doing otherwise is a sure path to regressions.
