Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

I were pleased if update manager:

1) tell me the source of one updated package when i select proposed updated
package to update:
there are repository i trust more than other (some time you may use one
repository just for one conveniant package and not for all the system, so by
providing the orign of the update you give me one good information (and
popularity) of the update). Display this information in a tab would be easy.

2) respect my choice: ignore update. When i deselect one update, those update
wouldn't be selected next time i run this software. When using live update on
ms windows once you reject one update, the ms update manager ignore the update.
It would be great to get this functionnality.
-> it would be casual,
-> when i do no more use one software, i don't need it to be updated
-> (your args here)
-> Didn't have apt-get or dselect one black-list?

3) information provided by update-manager are generaly of poor quality.
Some time there is just the id of the bug it closed, sometime it just
says "update provide by X confimed by Y" .... do not explain me why i
should update and expose me to troubles.

4) the "you have a new update icon" may behave according to point 2).

** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu)
