Public bug reported:
In it's current state, the bcmwl driver is unable to build on AMD64.
This is because the Makefile is calling out to dpkg-architecture to
determine the architecture of the system.
This should be queried in some other fashion instead to prevent having
to add a dependency of dpkg-dev.
