Source id is Ubuntu 8.10 CD That was Burnt from a working 8.10 version
Cant run anything Normal to find information. this is sent from my new
Windows XP (curse it) machine
I expected a Version 8 boot page (as from LiveCD boot) - Eventually
after 7 Mins of DRDY Errors got the prompt (initramfs). "help" lists a
load of commands but doesn't say what they do - Not useful to a newbie -
so How do I format the HDD to reinstall from the LiveCD - I have been a
programmer In PCs and am familiar with Machine code and literally wrote
the Manual for Epson Basic. I need to format as this is an Old Windows98
Machine I retired when I got my New XP based Dell
It Has two HDD's but Ubuntu only sees one?
