While I can understand the desire to make it easier to copy the backup
files around, (A) this is not something that Deja Dup will likely try to
tackle, unless duplicity (the underlying backup tool) makes it easier
and (B) I don't see that fewer files would make it easier to copy them
over somewhere else.
I guess I'm not certain of the use case. Could you not just copy all
the files over to the flash/cd/dvd/etc? In fact, I should think that
many files would make it easier, not harder, to backup to, say, CDs
because they can more easily span multiple CDs.
