Binary package hint: xubuntu-desktop
I made a quicklauncher for the top panel with 'Add New Item, with three
command lines, only I left them blank (needed to go back later and check
them). Then curisoity got the better of me and I started the quick
launcher even though there were no commands in it and voila, both top
and bottom panels disappeared.
