Public bug reported: Binary package hint: notify-osd
After returning to my laptop and taking it out of screensaver I noted that Pidgin was frozen. It was using all of one core and 1GB of RAM. Notify-osd was also using 1GB of RAM. Slowly notify-osd displayed a lot of queued updates from pidgin- microblog. Once it finished Pidgin became usable again for a few minutes before it started all over again. Restarting Pidgin does not help. Restarting system does not help.
