Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-impress

using Jaunty 64-bit 9.04
Installed: 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3

This report is referring to my experience with the following ppt file:
http://www.econ.ucsd.edu/~jrauch/Arab_Human_Development.ppt

It takes open office about 3 minutes to open the 2mb file. After it opens it, I
go to file>save and try to save it as a .odp file. openoffice immediately
closes and displays an error message:
"OpenOffice.org Document Recovery
Due to an unexpected error, OpenOffice.org crashed. All the files you were...."
(I think you know the rest).

When I go to the folder where I tried to save the file, there is a file
with the correct name (and odp extension), but the file is empty (has 0
bytes).

I hope this helps. Thanks
