Could you please install the firefox-dbg package and obtain a crash report by
following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingFirefox This
will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.
Also some more information would help, is it any FTP server or a
specific one? Which version of Ubuntu? etc
