This is not an Ubuntu supported kernel version. If you need help with
building your own custom kernels I suggest looking at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Kernel/Compile. Otherwise if you want
to try the 2.6.29.1 mainline vanilla kernel, take a look at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . There should be a .deb
already built for 2.6.29.1 for you to try.
