Actually recently when my system attempts to run a routine fsck upon booting up, I've been receiving an error message along the following:
/dev/sda1: Inodes that were part of a corrupted orphan linked list found /dev/sda1: Unexpected inconsistency: Run fsck manually fsck died with exit status 4 An automatic check of the root system failed My root file system is then set in read-only mode to allow for a manual fsck, and a maintenance shell is started. This process is interrupted by the following string: bash: no job control in this shell bash: groups: command not found bash: lesspipe: command not found bash: Command: command not found bash: The: command not found bash: dircolors: command not found bash: Command: command not found bash: The: command not found At which point I'm forced to restart the system and simply skip the fsck altogether, as I certainly don't have the technical knowledge to mess with anything that involves a black screen and white error text on my own. -- Receive error message Failed to execute child process "gnome-system-manager" Input/Output Error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/387170 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
