What version of the kernel are you running? You can find out via 'uname
-a' in a terminal. What release of Ubuntu are you using? You can find
out via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' in a terminal. I am under the impression
that your CD-ROM drive is accessible via /dev/hdc is that correct?
