Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gvfs-fuse

there are one entry in user home folder, which is mounted on
/usr/lib/gvfs/gvfs-fuse-daemon.
dr-x------ 2 shubhra shubhra 0 2009-06-16 18:16 .gvfs
and output of mount command is "gvfs-fuse-daemon on /home/shubhra/.gvfs type
fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon (rw,nosuid, nodev, user=shubhra)". This mount point appear
as user logged in and disappear as he logged off.
No other user is able to acces this folder. we have some requirement we want to
read and write on this mounter file system through 'root' account. Is their
any way we can change mount properties either by changing some configuration
file or some other way so that next time user logged in permission on this
point can be different or to different user/group? There are no entry for
this in /etc/fstab.

** Affects: gvfs (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
