Linkedin may be the most prominent example, but there are other sites too that exhibit similar problems. From my personal experience such sites are - web banking site of greek Eurobank (www.eurobank.gr). After accepting the login information, the site hangs until timeout - Aegean Airlines site (www.aegeanair.gr). The last step (after giving credit card data) hangs and times out.
