Almost. I'm saying that it happens even if openoffice.org-gnome is not
installed.
I have not tried to completely uninstall gnome on this system. The
previous comment was probably badly put. I do not want to change the
gnome dpi settings because it affects so many other applications (which
all rely on it being set to 96dpi) and I think there should be a way to
make openoffice ignore the gnome setting without completely uninstalling
gnome.
