Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
I'm writing about the rsync page at: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/rsync I really hate to complain, but I found this page to be extremely vague and problematic. The "Advanced" example doesn't tell you what's going on at all. The "Testing" section at the end says "Run the following command to check if everything is ok." What does OK mean?? I can't even tell what the end result of the sample is supposed to be. Just to put things in perspective, I'm an advanced Windows server admin who's trying to catch up on Linux. I'm doing pretty well with all the excellent documentation that's out there, especially on the Ubuntu Community site. I just had to point out this rsync page that truly doesn't help someone like me as much as I believe it should. Thank you very much, Justin Schier ** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- rsync document is vague and frustrating https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388277 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
