Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: tvtime
When trying to apply matte on tvtime other than 4:3 + Overscan, the
picture will become stretched instead of the two black bars covering up
part of the picture.
Expected behaviour: run tvtime (opens up in 4:3 aspect ratio); tune to
favourite TV station showing a programme in 16:9 aspect ratio; enable
fullscreen, black bars on top and bottom due to programme in 16:9, black
bars on left and right due to tvtime in 4:3; right click in tvtime and
go to Output configuration > Apply matte > 16:10; widescreen awesomeness
with no picture distortion.
What happened: the picture stretched out instead of scaling within
aspect ratio, thus causing distortion. This problem occurs when running
tvtime without compiz both fullscreen and in windowed mode. The problem
also occurs when running tvtime with compiz in fullscreen mode, but
tvtime appears to apply matte correctly when in windowed mode.
I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 amd64, and tvtime 1.0.2-1.
