you manage to reproduce it again and can get hold of logs. Also,

Yes, logs are written to RAM in the live session
(/var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman; the
whole live CD root filesystem is a tmpfs union-mounted over the read-
only filesystem image on the CD).
