I had the same problem here: host running on hardy, 64bits with kvm version 1:62+dfsg-0ubuntu8.2 kernel 2.6.24-24-server Memory: 16 Gb
guest running on hardy, 32bits kernel 2.6.24-24-virtual. Memory: 3Gb guest dmesg contains nothing special, host dmesg contains lots of : [183668.247232] WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.24/arch/x86/kvm/mmu.c:378 account_shadowed() [183668.247236] Pid: 14823, comm: kvm Not tainted 2.6.24-24-server #1 [183668.247237] [183668.247237] Call Trace: [183668.247246] [<ffffffff882fde69>] :kvm:gfn_to_memslot+0x9/0x20 ... I also tried to reduce memory to 1Gb, the error still happen, but with 512Mb we don't get any error. This problem is fixed in latter ubuntu release (at least in Jaunty), the patch which fixed this is likely this one: http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/git-commits-head/2008/5/5/1720244 It would be nice to apply this change on hardy as this generate more than 3Gb of log per day ! -- dmesg is flooded with warnings in kvm/mmu.c https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
