Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
I run a regularly updated edgy on Acer Aspire 3003LMi.
g-p-m doesn't display correct charge rate, battery remaining or almost anything.
The info in /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state and info have relevant values.
The output of lshal does show relevant values.
gnome-power-manager --verbose --no-daemon does NOT give relevant information,
neither does the applet.
