Please sync libgpod 0.7.0-2 (main) from Debian unstable (main).
Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
Debian has updated their package to build against python 2.6 which was
the only ubuntu change. So package can be synced.
Changelog since current karmic version 0.7.0-2ubuntu1:
libgpod (0.7.2-1) unstable; urgency=low
* New upstream release (Closes: #527050)
+ drop patch 20_no-superfluous-ffi-dep, applied upstream
+ update debian/copyright
+ update symbols file (two new symbols)

* Apply patch from Ubuntu to support building against Python 2.6.
