Public bug reported: On a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04 on a Dell Vostro 1320 with a Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g (rev 01) I lost wireless after installing the suggested upgrades.
Booting with the Live CD or before running the upgrade I had wireless working (network manager didn't show the strenght of the signal). I suspect that the change of kernel to 2.6.28-13 is the reason, but when I boot with 2.6.28.11 i still get "wireless is disabled" in network manager. I'm not sure which logs or info to provide further, please advise. lsmod indicates that wl.ko is loaded. lspci gives the following on the network card: 0e:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g (rev 01) Network manager applet 0.7.0.100 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Wireless disabled after upgrade to kernel 2.6.28-13-generic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/390668 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
