Workaround.

I was able to fix this. I removed the yahoo account, then added the
account again. That did the trick.

I tried to see if there was a difference in the accounts.xml. But even
if i restore the original 'yahoo' account from the older accounts.xml
(yes i made a backup before removing the account), and start pidgin...
it just works.

Yesterday my /home filesystem was temporarily full because of my
bittorrent downloads. Could it be that pidgin wrote some information
half? The accounts.xml looked normal... but perhaps another file. I
would have expected it to crash yesterday in that case.
