Ok, according to the Akonadi developers you should just need to
deactivate the Akonadi compatibility resource and re-activate the KDE
resource in systemsettings ->advanced tab -> KDE resources, the KDE
resource shouldn't have been deleted by the migration.

If you want you can help us (and the upstream Akonadi developers)
improve the migration process though, just give the migration a shot
once KDE 4.3.0 is out, and report bugs. We would very much appreciate
that :)

I am closing this bug report as invalid since it only appears on
pre-4.2.0 installations and can be reverted easily.
