It seems there is confusion as to whether a CD update fixed this. So
could you confirm if this is happening in the latest intrepid and jaunty
CDs. Please report back here.
@Elias -- as you are getting a caps-lock flash this is commonly a kernel
panic. Could you try removing 'quiet' and 'splash' from the boot
command line, and add 'vga=ask', selecting the highest resolution
supported. You should then see the panic on the screen. Perhaps you
could get a digital photo of that and attach it here. Thanks!
