Public bug reported:

I'm trying a brand new Ubuntu 9.04 x86_64 install, creating a dual boot
machine with Vista. The machine is a Compaq Presario F557US. The
hardware is NVidia and Broadcom (ooh, fun).

The installer comes up in VGA text mode.

At the stage where I am offered tasks to select, I chose Audio, Video,
and Ubuntu desktop. Early while figuring out packages, the step fails
with no useful error message.

I flipped to Alt-F4, and there was an error something like:

Unable to find task ubuntudesktop

One error for each of the 3 options I had selected. Sorry, I didn't
actually write the message down before going back and retrying with just
Ubuntu desktop selected. Just selecting Ubuntu desktop succeeded as I'd
expect.

If these options are mutually exclusive, this needs to be clearly documented -
in the installer, not just the webdocs. The other options clearly are not
mutually exclusive, as this screen lets you select DNS server, DHCP server,
mail server, etc.
