Actually I removed thinkfinger from Jaunty due to the issue described. This has happened also when I plugged in external USB keyboard which has gone after upgrade to current Karmic (xorg, xkb, x-whatever), so I started to use thinkfinger again and I'm not affected with this issue anymore.
So I think it'd make sence to close this bug as it looks that it is not thinkfinger problem.
