Public bug reported:
On Ubuntu Hardy (actually on all Ubuntus) /var/run/ is purged at each boot.
Samhain uses "/var/run/samhain/samhain.pid", and if the directory
"/var/run/samhain/" does not exist, samhain doesn't start and outputs this in
logfile :
ERROR : [2009-06-23T15:14:24+0200] msg=<Could not write PID file>,
userid=<0>, path=</var/run/samhain/samhain.pid>
After :
'mkdir /var/run/samhain'
Samhain starts successfully
** Affects: samhain (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
