I had catalyst version 9.5 from the ATI site. I had to download and compile it because the fglrx from the repository was not up to date when Jaunty was released. After the update that installed kernel 2.6.28-13 I lost video. I tried to use the previous fix, removing fglrx and installing the open source driver, but this did not fix the situation this time.
