Hmm .. I actually downloaded the Ubuntu orig tar ball and overwrote debian's. Then rebuilt the package so that the upload uses the Ubuntu orig tar ball; see the package in https://edge.launchpad.net/~al- maisan/+archive/ppa or the attached changes file.
