Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: fish
I changed my shell to fish, as shown here:
kkin...@kkinder-laptop ~> grep fish /etc/passwd
kkinder:x:1000:1000:Ken,,,:/home/kkinder:/usr/bin/fish
X11/gdm works fine and I can start terminals fine as well. However when
I attempt to login via a console (by pressing ctrl+alt+f1, for example),
fish will not fully start. I will get this message:
Welcome to fish, the friendly interactive shell
Type help for instructions on how to use fish
With no further text; no command line. I cannot ctrl+c or ctrl+d my way
out of the console and it's effectively unusable at this point.
