Hi Ike and David! Thanks for all the information. Even though I could clarify some points I still don't know the proper solution for this case. I could see that David's module is in HCI mode, no suspicious messages in dmesg and unfortunately hcidump gives me nothing useful (we only receive a disconnection event without really expecting one at that point).
However, David, you said that you tried a suggestion mentioned in the Red Hat bugzilla. Which suggestion was that? Have you tried adding the quirk to the kernel or was it running hid2hci? And can you send your output for 'lsusb -v', please? I'd like to check the bluetooth modules IDs.
