Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

On a x86 Karmic Alpha 2 install (upgraded initially from Alpha 1) on a
Dell Inspiron 6000, when I insert a usb fat32 stick, it gives me a popup
asking for authorization. I enter my user account password.

n...@qwerqwer:~$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 1307:0163 Transcend Information, Inc. 512MB/1GB Flash
Drive

But then nothing happens. I don't see the icon on the desktop, but I see
the light on the usb stick indicating something is either reading or
writing to it.

Looking at /var/log/syslog:

And it just keeps going on forever. I can mount the stick on 9.04 and
8.10 machines fine.
