Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Ubuntu is currently using gnome-panel 2.26.0 and is slated to continue
into 9.10 (Karmic) In Ubuntu 9.04 services, applications and applets are
loaded in parallel, unfortunately this creates several problems with
gnome-panel 2.26.0 which expects handling to be done sequentially. This
causes several applets, like glipper and GnoMenu to fail during the
login process. gnome-panel 2.26.1 and 2.26.2 have been optimized to
handle parallel loading much better, eliminating OAFIID errors caused
because not all hooks are available when the applets try to load.
