First I'm reassigning this to the "linux (Ubuntu)" kernel package so that the appropriate teams and developers are notified. It's important to make sure bugs are filed against a specific package of they usually get overlooked. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage for more info.
Next, would you be willing to try the latest mainline kernel build, currently 2.6.31-rc1as of this posting. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . The kernel for karmic will target the 2.6.31 kernel so it would be great to know if this issue will exist in the actively developed kernel. If it does, the fix needs to be applied to the actively developed kernel first before a Stable Release Update can be considered for Jaunty - http://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates . Please let us know your results. Thanks. ** Package changed: ubuntu => linux (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Tags added: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kj-triage needs-kernel-logs -- lots of freezes and segfaults https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358741 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
