Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
I work with OpenOffice 3.0 (1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3) in Kubuntu 9.04, AMD64.
Often OpenOffice does not copy text, images, cels, etc. when following
the standard procedure. When I select something in OpenOffice to copy
(make selection, then Ctrl-C) there is only a short time I have
available to copy. After that OpenOffice forgets what should be on the
clipboard. The time I've got is random. Mostly I have only a few
seconds. When trying to copy a few times in the end the text gets
copied, but it's frustrating. With cutting and pasting information gets
lost.
The problem is best viewed in Calc: there you can see the selected cels
to copy. After a while the selection disapairs (no key or mouse button
pressed).
I looked at options in Klipper, but that did not help me.
I also searched in the help if there is some weird option and I searched with
Google.
It does not matter how you copy (mouse, keyboard). Even with unix-copy (just
select and middle mouse button) this problem ocures.
OO is the only program where I detected this problem (Calc, Writer,
presentation, all).
May be there is some strange inteference between KDE4 and OO?
