Bryce, I've updated to the nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 185.18.14 from xorg- edgers PPA but nothing seems to be changed. I've seen black artifacting just after ~15 minutes of working this new version (in Pidgin, then in Firefox). I'm still on Jaunty amd64 with all current updates and have no compiz activated.
