    Thanks for following up on this.
    The reason why I wrote multiple bug reports on this issue is from my first 
bug report. I mistakenly reported the bug as a general issue, without 
considering that it should be handled on a per package basis. If you'll take a 
gander at #391836, you'll see that the triager for that bug corrected me, and 
suggested I file a report against the individual applications that store their 
information in ~/.*packagename*

    If you feel that storing the information in ~/.config/*package name*
instead of ~/.config/.*package name*, that's perfectly fine with me. I'm
not important enough to make that decision.
