Here's a photo of my laptop when I tried to boot with "TORAM=yes" and without "quiet splash" options. The Jaunty livecd hanged and there was no sign of progress. The photo is from the hang. ALT+SYSRQ+E didn't help - it just dropped me to busybox console - what should I do with it? Exiting resulted in kernel panic, running ./init 5 failed too.
