Public bug reported:

Ubuntu version:
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

When I'm using all 3 slots of the sound card for 5.1 surround speaker
Ubuntu thinks I'm trying to use headphones and marks the headphones
option in the sound mixer.

I am not sure if it interferes with something but i just wanted to point this
out.
I can disable it manually.

I am not sure if it automatically re-enables itself on start up due to
inability to use a full Ubuntu installation (Not allowed)
