A couple of things:

1. Please download http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh, open a
terminal, and run the script using "bash ./alsa-info.sh"

2. Open /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf in an editor using the sudo
command, and go to the end of the file. On a new line, at the following:
"options snd-hda-intel model=6stack-dig". Close the editor, then run
sudo depmod -ae. Then try rebooting, and let me know if you get any
sound.

Thanks.
