I upgraded Karmic Koala 9.10 with sudo aptitude safe-upgrade and received the following preamble:
613 regular upgrades, 30 new, 1 to remove, and 16 not upgraded. 425 mb required for archives, 232 mb to re-use. Prior to the upgrade audio portion of videos, you tube, etc, worked perfectly. Now, just 2 sounds are heard; the opening ubuntu screen, and following the ubuntu log-in screen.
